  10. After school, Dayon, Diamante and Jasmine decided to skateboard at a neighborhood park. They skated for a combined total of seven hours. Diamante skated on his new Orange Peel skateboard from 3:00 pm to 5:15 pm. Dayon skated on his favorite Birds-Eye skateboard from 4:00 pm to 6:20 pm and Jasmine skated on her old Lightning Bolt skateboard starting at 3:30 pm. What time did Jasmine finish skateboarding? How long did Diamante and Dayon skateboard? Our estimate was that Jasmine finished skating at 6:00 pm. 3:00 - 5:15 is EXAMINE ATTEMPT TAKE TIME 3:00 - 5:15 is approximately SURVEY KEEP 2 hours 15 min 4:00 - 6:20 is 2 hours 2 hours 20 min 4:00 - 6:20 is approximately 2 hours 15 min +2 hours 20 min Our answer was that Jasmine finished skating at 5:55 pm. Dayon and Diamante skated 4 hours and 35 min. 2.5 hours 2 + 2.5 = 4.5 7 hours minus 4 hours and 35 min is 7 - 4.5 = 2.5 Therefore our estimate and answer are close enough to accept our answer. 2 hours 25 min Jasmine skateboarded for ABOUT 2.5 hours, which means she finished at ABOUT 6:00 pm Jasmine skated until 5:55 pm.
