  6. Arbiter • MOST IMPORTANT • Check box at bottom of your start page • Indicates you are READY to be assigned • No checked box? You cannot be assigned!

  7. Arbiter • Schedule page: • Games are color coded according to status • New games appear in yellow • Games turn to purple after you view assignment • Green indicates attachment • White – normal, scheduled game • Red – cancelled game • Note that “pending assignments” only show up for the assignor • See example on next slide

Arbiter – Game Reports • Check on referee and game info • Indicate if partner(s) are late/no show • If on time, leave as is (see example, next slide) • Enter scores • Comment area – player, bench misconduct • Enter cards, situations here • No problems? Leave it blank • Use e-mail to assignor for more detailed info

  11. Arbiter • DON’T CHANGE GAME STATUS • This is a function for the assignor only, please • Status should say NORMAL

  12. Arbiter • Arbiter automatically sends e-mail • You get e-mail when a new assignment is posted • You must accept / decline assignment • You have 72 hours to decide in most cases • If you decline, you are blocked for the day • You get e-mail when an assignment cancelled • You get e-mail reminders prior to each game

  13. Arbiter • General points: • Check your e-mail at least once a day • Don’t just look at assignments … DECIDE! • Games not accepted in 72 hours will be reassigned • Repeated turnbacks will result in fewer assignments • Got issues with scheduling? Call the assignor

  14. Arbiter • Don’t forget to check the ‘ready’ square!
