Arbiter • INFORMATION PAGE • Please list ALL of your phone numbers • Phone numbers may be marked ‘private’ • Only assignor will see private listings • But we MUST have a phone number! • Changes must be saved • Click green check mark to save • Click X to cancel • Next slide shows info page
Arbiter • Availability: • Click on ‘Calendar’ • Block dates/times you are unavailable • You may block all or part of a day • Click on ‘Travel limits’ • Set your starting zip code for each day of week • List distance you’re willing to travel • Next slide shows example of travel limits • Following slide - example of blocks on calendar
Arbiter • Availability: • Click on ‘Teams’ to attach or block teams • You are not permitted to work child or sibling’s game • Next slide – example of block teams page • Block: • You can be assigned at that time, but not to that game
Attaching means no assignments during the time that team is playing • Attach yourself to any team that you coach • Next slide – example of attachment page • Be sure to click on the “submit” button • Attachments show up in game schedule in green
Arbiter • MOST IMPORTANT • Check box at bottom of your start page • Indicates you are READY to be assigned • No checked box? You cannot be assigned!
Arbiter • Schedule page: • Games are color coded according to status • New games appear in yellow • Games turn to purple after you view assignment • Green indicates attachment • White – normal, scheduled game • Red – cancelled game • Note that “pending assignments” only show up for the assignor • See example on next slide
Arbiter • Game page shows upcoming games • Click ‘show all’ to see past games • Click game number to see partners • See “game details” slide • To print copy of schedule: • Under ‘reports,’ click schedule • Set dates you wish to have on report
Arbiter • Red ‘R’ will appear next to game number • ‘R’ appears only after game is completed • Indicates game report must be filed • Center ref files report (lead ref in dual-ref game) • ‘R’ changes color after report is filed • Turns green if there are no comments • Turns yellow if comments are indicated
Arbiter – Game Reports • Check on referee and game info • Indicate if partner(s) are late/no show • If on time, leave as is (see example, next slide) • Enter scores • Comment area – player, bench misconduct • Enter cards, situations here • No problems? Leave it blank • Use e-mail to assignor for more detailed info
Arbiter • DON’T CHANGE GAME STATUS • This is a function for the assignor only, please • Status should say NORMAL
Arbiter • Arbiter automatically sends e-mail • You get e-mail when a new assignment is posted • You must accept / decline assignment • You have 72 hours to decide in most cases • If you decline, you are blocked for the day • You get e-mail when an assignment cancelled • You get e-mail reminders prior to each game
Arbiter • General points: • Check your e-mail at least once a day • Don’t just look at assignments … DECIDE! • Games not accepted in 72 hours will be reassigned • Repeated turnbacks will result in fewer assignments • Got issues with scheduling? Call the assignor
Arbiter • Don’t forget to check the ‘ready’ square!
