Introduction In this PowerPoint I will be discussing the well known explorer, Giovanni De Verrazano. I will include why he traveled to North America, the obstacles he faced, the reactions from the Native Americans, and his contributions to NYS. There are many reasons as to why I chose to study this explorer. For example, I wanted to know how Giovanni De Verrazano founded the landmarks. Moreover, I wanted to know what his contributions. I wanted to know if he did really die eaten by the Native Americans and if not, how he died. In addition to those reasons, I was so curious to know what he did with the little Native American girl he stole and why he stole her. I really want to know if he really did these things if not why he got killed.
Reasons as to why Giovanni Da Verrazano went to North America My explorer came to North America for a many reasons. Giovanni De Verrazano went to North America to claim sites. He was doing this for King Francois the king of France if the land wasn’t already claimed it will belong to him. In addition, the king got money out of it. Moreover, he went to trade with the people of North America. In addition, he wanted to find riches such as species and other thing very valuable.
The obstacles Giovanni Da Verrazano faced on his Journey • The obstacles my explorer faced during his journey. Some of the boats that he took to bring back voyages got destroyed. All voyages weren't all easy because he had to captain each and every voyage.”Giovanni de Verrazano found it hard to trade with Maine’s natives because they treated the English with great caution because men were constantly marching on taking land.”
The reactions of the Native American’s toward Giovanni The reactions the Native Americans had toward Giovanni de Verrazano were not very good. For example, Giovanni de Verrazano wasn’t always welcome with every tribe he wanted to trade with because they felt like he was an intruder and not one of them. I would agree with the Native Americans I wouldn’t welcome a stranger like him. The Native Americans weren’t welcoming him because he made them feel uncomfortable and they felt like he was stealing from them.
The contributions of Giovanni Da Verrazano to New York • Giovanni's contribute to New York must have been big because a bridge was named after him. He banked the metropolis of the US. He presented the sites of New York harbor and Narragansett Bay. Giovanni discovered the Carolina banks. Is it cool to discover a place and know that you discovered it?
Conclusion In conclusion, Giovanni de Verrazano gave many things to New York City. Furthermore, he represented France in a very good way. Giovanni De Verrazano was born in 1485 in Tuscany, Italy and died on 1528 at the age of 43. He died in West Indies he was murdered and eaten by the natives.
