  2. Root • All Arabic words come from a 3/ 4 letters • Additional letters are letters that could be added to the word, give different meaning, but keeps the themes. The additional latters are سألتمونيها • The word درس is an original word that mean study, all letters that exist in this word are original and not additional. • Different words that come from the word درس have meaning that evolves around study مدرسة، دارس؛ مدروس، مستدرس

  3. Then following tree represent the concept. The word درس is a root word, passing through trunk the word gets the different additional letters “ أحرف الإضافة “. The letters in the word سألتمونيها are all the additional letters that could be added to a root word. The words on the top are words + additional letters. دارس أدرس مدرسة مدروس سألتمونيها درس

  9. To Identify الجذر • Look for the three core consonants. The following cases are straightforward: • Eliminate any prefixes and suffices, الـ, and ـة • Look for long vowels –especially ا and the consonants ن م س ت these letters are often not part of the جذر .
