References to the Holy Spirit • “Holy Ghost” or “Holy Spirit” • Ghost = KJV - “gast” ~ soul or spirit - 1611 • 1901 ghost meant a spook, not the spirit • All newer translations use “Holy Spirit” • Not as much Prominence in O.T. as N.T. • 88 times in 23 O.T. books • 264 times in N.T. with 39 different names

Holy Spirit is Masculine Personality • Holy - because He is not evil • God is Holy - Jesus is Holy - Spirit is Holy • Holy = Moral Perfection Personal Pronouns - masculine and singular Jn. 16:13 “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”
