ACT’s College Readiness Benchmarks* are early indicators of likely college success based on student EXPLORE, PLAN, or ACT scores. College Readiness System *Reflects the minimum score needed on an ACT subject area test to indicate a 50% chance of obtaining a “B” or better or a 75% chance of obtaining a “C” or better in the corresponding credit-bearing college course

Professional Development Options Half Day Professional Development: May be delivered at a school, district, educational cooperative, or other entity. Multiple districts/schools may be in attendance. Events are open to all educators using any QualityCore Courses. Materials include a Participant's Handbook and a course-specific binder. Delivered face-to-face by two ACT trainers in either a large or small group setting. A great train-the-trainer PD or an all staff option. The half day event is NOT broken down by domain.
Five Day Professional Development: Includes three days in the summer, one day in the fall, and one day in the spring. Delivered face-to-face by two ACT trainers. Facilitated within the client's district and given at the building or district level. Multiple districts/schools can be in attendance at the same event. Events are broken down by domain. Five Day Professional Development (cont) Focuses explicitly on helping teachers understand and maximize the academic readiness and academic behaviors of their students. Targets content knowledge and instructional practices, as well as strategies for building and sustaining student engagement. Ensures that teachers build the capacity to help all of their students learn and use assessments effectively to guide their instruction. Professional Development Options
