  2. When farmers are deciding what to plant they must consider ......... Rainfall, wind conditions, temperature, soil type, pH etc…….. Why? Lots of plants especially crops are picky and will only grow in their chosen conditions!!!!!!!!

Measuring the weather! • What do we use to measure soil temperature? • What temperature does grass need to be able to grow? • What is the name of the instrument we need to measure wind strength? • What do we use to measure wind direction? • What is humidity a measure of? • What is used to measure how much rain has fallen?
