Cementing/ Levelling Cementing/ Levelling is Cement the floor inside the ground, which is nothing but Area If the ground is rectangle in shape , cementing/ Levelling will be Area of rectangle If the ground in circle in shape ,cementing/ Levelling will be Area of circle Incase of non circular ground Incase of circular ground Cost of cementing/ Levelling = Area x rate Cost of cementing/ Levelling = Area x rate

  3. Example 1: A gardener walks around a circular park whose radius is 28m. If he wants to level the park at the rate of Rs 25 per sq.m, how much amount will be needed? SolutionGiven: radius = 28m rate=Rs25 per metre To Find: Cost of Levelling Step1: Finding Area We know that, Area = πr2 4 Divide 7 and 28 by 7 Area = 22 x 4 x 28 = 88 x 28 = 2464 m2 Step2: Finding Cost of Levelling Cost of Levelling = Area x rate = 2464 x 25 Cost of Levelling = Rs 61,600 (Ans)

  4. Example 2: The floor of a circular swimming pool whose radius is 35 m has to be cemented at the rate of Rs 5 per m2. Find the total cost of cementing the floor? SolutionGiven: radius = 35m rate= Rs 5 per metre To Find: Cost of Levelling Step1: Finding Area We know that, Area = πr2 5 Divide 7 and 35 by 7 Area = 22 x 5 x 35 = 110 x 35 = 3850 m2 Step2: Finding Cost of Levelling Cost of Levelling = Area x rate = 3850 x 5 Cost of Levelling = Rs 19,250 (Ans)
