Example: Sometimes as a teacher, it is hard to be a philanthropist. I occasionally have students that I’d like to oust from my room. It’s not that I’m a misanthrope, but some teenagers are immature and noisome. Managing a classroom of diverse students involves enticing them to behave. Otherwise they may stage a coup and think they run the class. I hoard good lesson plan ideas and cloister myself away to prepare for my classes. In the face of a tough class, I will not languish.
