Consideration • Guizhou is a poor Province with little industrial activity. • Guizhou is able to secure very limited national medical resources. • The government will allocate national medical resources to counties who are able to prove their reliability and capability in managing resources – Majiang County demonstrated a successful model

  2. Objective • To build Village Clinics with reference to the successful Model Clinic in Majiang County, Guizhou Province • To provide basic Clinic facility and stable Village Doctor to villagers of Cengong County, Guizhou Province • To mobilize villagers and County Government to secure more shares out of the stressed medical resources from the Central Government

About Guizhou • Location: In the South West China • Area: 170,000 sq. km with a mountainous landscape • Population: 35 million with a number of minority groups • Capital: Guiyang • Economy: Mainly agricultural activities with other industries such as wine making and nonferrous metal making • Guiyang’s GDP was RMB 81 Billion, comparing to Shanghai’s RMB1370 Billion which ranked the first in 2008

Project Brief To Build & Maintain A Clinic– RMB￥$88,000（For 3 Years） i.Construction Cost：RMB￥44,000 （Plus subsidies from County Government:￥6,000） The clinic will be built according to the Model Clinic in Bi Bo Village, comprising waiting room, pharmaceutical room, patient ward, plus a washing basin, a TV, yet without toilet ii.Maintenance & Supplementary Equipment Purchase: ￥11,000 (Will conduct annual review prior contribution ） iii.Salary Subsidy to Qualified Village Doctors: （ Will conduct annual review prior contribution） RMB￥500 per Doctor per month with estimation of 1.5 Doctors per Clinic for 3 years, a total of RMB ￥27,000
