DADOS DA JUSTIÇA CRIMINAL • Os dados relativos à população carcerária são analisados pelo DEPEN do Ministério da Justiça. • Os dados tomam por base as informações prestadas pelas Secretarias de Justiça, Segurança Pública e Administração Penitenciária dos Estados. • As informações são sempre agregadas e não necessariamente correspondem ao atual estado do processo criminal do acusado. • O Georreferenciamento do CNJ toma por base as informações prestadas pelos juízes nas inspeções mensais. • Nem sempre as informações são precisas ou atuais porque há juízes que ainda não fazem a inspeção mensal. • Há pouquíssimas inspeções em delegacias, o que também prejudica os agregados do sistema.

JUSTIÇA EM NÚMEROS • Dados Gerais sobre a Justiça Criminal pela primeira vez foram trazidos na pesquisa. • É preciso aprofundar as informações acerca do funcionamento da Justiça Criminal. • Em especial, é preciso saber: • 1. Qual impacto na litigiosidade a reforma do código de processo penal poderá ter? • 2. Onde é preciso investir para diminuir a taxa de encarceramento? • 3. O elevado percentual de presos provisórios pode ser reduzido apenas com investimentos na Justiça? • 4. Como ampliar os programas de penas e medidas alternativas? • 5. Qual a taxa de congestionamento para processos criminais? • 6. Qual a carga de trabalho dos juízes criminais?
