  1. Le Ntih SYNOPSIS A Spanish woman becomes a widow while she is spending her vacations with her husband and son in his country, Cameroon. Local traditions demand that she have sexual relations with a stranger before her husband is buried. Baffled, she refuses to follow such a nonsensical custom, but a series of incidents convince her that her son’s life depends on her carrying out the ritual. She decides to do it; however, honoring the tradition will not be so easy. THE PROJECT This is undoubtedly one of the projects with greater co-production potential with Spain. The main role should be played by a Spanish actress, and the conflicts she will have to face to accomplish her bizarre mission can easily make an impact on western audiences, as they may easily identify themselves with the cultural shocks she suffers along her way.   2. Le Ntih BIOGRAPHY Born in Douala, Narcisse Wandji grew up with his grandparents in Bazou, a small village to the West of Cameroon. After finishing high school, he moved to Yaoundé to continue studying. Narcisse Wandji is the founder and managing director of the Women’s Films International Festival, Mis Me Binga, the first ever gender festival in Central Africa. He also organizes “la Nuit du cinema” in Cameroon in collaboration with the Goethe Institute. And, finally, he is also the instigator of the Documentary Screenplay Workshop Quand l’idée devient un film (When an idea becomes a film), exclusively dedicated to young women.
