Context • French law 11/02/2005 + new National law in EU • Lack of accessible public spaces for disabled people – considering all types of deficiences • Lack of understunding and « practical » knowledge of disability • Ageing population
Aims - To improve the conception of public spaces, accessibles for everyone • To promote the realisation of accessible public spaces, with a better conception at the beginning but a possibility to be adaptable in the context of ageing population • To develop the principe that the environnement has to be adapted to the situations of disability and not the opposite

1st study visit : June 2009 • In Brussels, Veneto region • French, Spanish and Sweedish teachers • Spanish and Sweedish students Meeting with the School La Cambre • Commented visits of specific sites
2d study visit d’étude : October 2009 • In Sweden : Orebro and Solna • Participation of 18 students from the IUP • Exchanges with 30 swedish students : common workshops – accessibility diagnosis • Meetings with professionnals from the space planning sector • Visits of specific sites (public transport, gardens) • Participation of a French NGO of disabled people.
Contest of ideas • Launched in September 2009 toward 50 students of the IUP • Workshop on a departemental site : The Green Path « Bièvre-Lilas » • A European jury and a public restitution to the local municipalities of the territory : 25/02/2010 • For the winning team : a study visit by our andalusian partners in April 2010
