Ag Societies Grant • Purpose:to assist ag societies fulfill their overall “objective to encourage the improvement of agriculture, horticulture, homemaking and the quality of life in the agricultural community” (Ag Society Act) • Eligibility:all Ag Societies in good standing with Ag Societies Act

4. Ag Society Grant • Basic Grant $17, 500 • Operating 16% • Activities 23% • Leadership 95% • TOTAL $8.6 M

5. Ag Initiative Grant • Purpose: To encourage improvements in agriculture, the quality of life in the agricultural community and to facilitate rural development • Eligibility: Ag Societies and other not-for-profit organizations with objectives related to agriculture and rural development

6. Ag Initiative Grant • $2.95 M • Capital 1:1 to a max. $75,000 • $ contribution: min 25% of project costs • Activities & Programs : 3:1(grant:local) • Local/Regional: max. $20,000 • Provincial :max.$40,000
