  1. Movie Piracy Illegal copying of movies for personal or commercial use. New epidemic that is affecting the film industry financially on a global level. 

  2. Difference between Original and Pirated Original movie has a high quality video while pirated has a low quality video. Original cd/dvd has a disc catalog number. Pirated gadgets can be easily damaged.

  3. The Consumers • Almost all of us do it, and must of us don’t even think twice about its consequences • What interests do we have as media consumers, and how are they served or not served by downloading?

  4. Benefits • Free access to media. • Better cultured. • Saves money. • Fighting the big corporations (their usually unethical anyways right?)

  5. Negative Effects of Piracy Movie industry loses 4.2 billion a year. Consumers will not buy the original product. Consumers will not support the artist and the film. It may cause economic problems. Loss of jobs.
