TASK: 173rd STB conducts M249 10-meter range qualification on 29 August 2006. • CONDITION: Given highly motivated firers from the 173rd STB, 10 m paper targets on Reese Range #3a, and supporting range personnel in ACUs with Kevlar and IBA. • STANDARD: Endstate is that all firers will zero and qualify on the M249 with iron sights using 10 meter qualification standards as outlined in Table 1 of FM 3-22-68. .

Remedial Training • Remedial Training NCO: SGT Starks • 1st time non-qualifiers will re-shoot tasks 9 and 10 on column D • 2nd time non-qualifiers will repeat tasks 1 and 2 to re-verify their battle sight zeroes • 3rd time non-qualifiers will complete remedial training at the Reese Range complex before being allowed to fire again • 4th time non-qualifiers will receive a stern talking-to from the battalion CSM • 5th time non-qualifiers will be used as targets

Concurrent Training Concurrent Training : First Aid CPL Ballast TASK 1: First Aid (Medic) CONDITION 1: Given a group of highly motivated soldiers, a casualty with a simulated wound, wearing ACUs and patrol cap, on a live range in daylight hours STANDARD 1: Evaluate a casualty, perform first aid for open wound, transmit a 9-line, transport a casualty to a pickup site. Concurrent Training : Call for Fire SSG Wise TASK 2: Conduct call for fire (SSG Wise) CONDITION 2: Given one operational radio set, enemy troops in the open within sight, wearing ACUs, on a live MG range STANDARD 2: Transmit a correct fire mission in 6 line warning order format within 3 minutes.
