Charlottetown conference • The conference took place September 1-9 1864 • Was originally planned as a meeting between representatives from the maritime colonies, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, P.E.I, Newfoundland. • Another colony of they province of Canada heard of the planned conference, And asked the agenda too be expanded to discuss a union that would include all of them.

Quebec conference • The conference took place on October 1st till October 27th 1864. • Representatives from they Maritimes and Canada east tended too argue for provincial rights. • Fearing that they would lose there cultural identity under a centralized government. • The delegates returned to there provinces to submit the seventy-two resolutions to the provincial legislatures. • Etienne Cartier was responsible for convincing they French-Canadians of legislature in Canada to accept the resolutions. • Etienne Cartier did not support a strong central government.

  4. London conference • The conference began on December 4th 1866-1867. • Sixteen delegates from the province of Canada, Nova Scotia and new Brunswick gathered with officials of the British government to draft the British north America act. • Major issue of contention was the education system with Roman catholic bishops lobbying for guarantees protecting the separate school system. • John A. Macdonald was the chairman of the conference. • Queen Victoria assented to the bull and the dominion of Canada was created when it came into force on july.1st 1867

Traci’s Interview “ why do you like Canada” -I like Canada because of the snow, it is quite pretty and puts a smile on all Canadians faces. “ what makes you proud to be canadian” -Especially Victoria because we don’t get many snow falls. The fact that all Canadians are very friendly and easy to communicate with. “ who's your favorite Candian” -My favor canadian is Justin Bieber, he is smart and has a lot going for him, he started as a small time kid and worked his way up. He has so much going for him. And he helps out families and kids in need. An is an amazing singer!

Jadon’s Interview “ why do you like Canada” - I like the mountains for long-boarding and snowboarding. “what makes you proud to be canadian” -Because Canada has amazing food such as bacon and maple syrup. “who's your favorite canadian” - Terry Fox, because he did something that nobody else could do. And he changed so many lives doing it.
