Hybrids – not just for cars anymore! What does CL WEB mean? • Hybrid classes are indicated on the PCC schedule by “CL/WEB” and the footnote indicating how much time outside of class will be necessary for completingassignments. • Like distance learning, CL/WEB uses Internet for some class assignments; e-mail and automated quizzes are examples. • Usually, there is some time in the classroom with an instructor and some independent time to complete work at home or in the computer resource center (CRC). • CL WEB time does not replace other assigned homework or assignments; it replaces additional hours that, in traditional courses, would be in the classroom. • Access to Internet (or time to spend in the CRC), discipline and motivation are necessary to be successful!
Check the PCC schedule for available course times at www.pcc.edu/schedule • Registration begins Friday, March 4 – many sections fill up quickly! • For more information about CAS/OS classes contact:Learning Skills Specialist and CAS/OS Advisor:Jessie Levine – jessie.levine@pcc.edu / 971-722-7288CAS/OS Full-Time Instructors:Amy Clubb – amy.clubb@pcc.edu / 971-722-7094Patti DeAngelis – patricia.deangelis@pcc.edu / 971-722-7683Barbara Lave – blave@pcc.edu / 971-722-7492Kelly Peden – kpeden@pcc.edu / 971-722-7851
