  1. The Gospel is that we are saved • FROM GOD • BY GOD • FOR GOD • TO KNOW GOD The Gospel

Understand that . . . • God is not a means to an end – He IS the Means & the End • When we worship idols, we are in part doing what we are supposed to be doing, only we are not doing it the way & to Whom we are supposed to be doing it • God is NOT a Holy God; a Just God; a Loving God . . . He IS Holiness – He IS Justice – He IS Love

  3. GOD IS THE SOURCE THE SUBSTANCE THE SATISFACTION

  4. why am I here? what am I supposed to do? who am I? should I go? should I stay? what should I do? who should I be with? what is the cost? will I suffer? why am I suffering? when will I stop suffering? why don’t others suffer the way I do? am I my own? why should I care? can I really deny myself? what is so bad about getting whatever I want? what do I want? what is the purpose? What is the end of it all? WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF MAN?

The Big Picture – Be Wise • The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom and the Knowledge of the Holy One is understanding (Proverbs 9:10) • Fear God and keep His commandments (Ecclesiastes 12:13) • Seek first the Kingdom and all else will be added (Matt. 6:33) • Rejoice in the LORD always (Phil. 4:4) • “If you don’t know God, you can’t know anything properly”
