Introduce 4 Online Webtools & Practice Using. • 3. Show 2 Apps for collaborative use. • 4. Create. Choose your fav & layout ideas to put to use!

Who am I? • Teach Spanish 1/ PAP at Deer Park High School North for going on 5 years. • Apple-trained teacher, Bachelors in Business Marketing, Alternative teaching certification--Spanish & ESL • Have 2 children, plus the husband (that’d make it 3 then, right?), y 2 gatos (did you understand that?= *and 2 cats)

My Personal Philosophy for Technology.... • For teachers, it makes teaching fresh, keeps it interesting & helps build personal connections with your students. • For students, it enables them to practice the tools necessary to be able to distinguish themselves in workforce. It allows them to keep up with today’s “virtual” growth for their future career of choice.

  5. But why......”Twice? Nice , Baby!” COMMUNICATIVE COLLABORATIVEENGAGE Think about it When you teach, your students will speak, hear, and use the same information in various ways. So then..... LETS USE TECHNOLOGY!

No page reloading required!!! • Is embeddable---put wall on your blog or website • Can insert Multimedia--Paste link to a video, blog, or even a word document from your computer. • Take PICS with Laptop webcam OR tablet camera. • Go Mobile with APP!

Interactive Assessment/Learning : Students are able to demonstrate understanding in an engaging way. • Allows teacher to ask quick assessment ?’s to check for student understanding (T/F, MC, Sort/Order, Text, Likert scale, or Numerical) • Responses can also be visual & creative using images/drawings. • Pushing content out to devices--teachers can send links, readings, images, or videos. • There is NO APP Available....BUT log in using Safari. (no IE!)

  11. Let’s Play! • Log into: www.infuselearning.com • On top right, select “STUDENT LOG IN” (you will be seeing it from the student perspective first as I walk you through examples) • Enter the following ROOM ID: 17155

  12. Twiddla: • Who has an interactive white board in their classroom? Their capabilities? • Free to use. Don’t need to necessarily SIGN IN. • If choose to (really no need to though!), then sign up for 30 day trial and email from teacher email to get FREE account: info@twiddla.com • WARNING: Does not work well in Firefox!

  19. “Collaborative” Apps • Ask 3 [Free iOS only App, interactive whiteboard) • create one then show in bulletin • bring in drawings, add shapes, voice, images • if students forget psswds cant get back n (need 2 get teacher 2 write down) • bulletin board=where all are stored • Students join with code--TODAYS CODE FOR MY CLASS: 10162 • students can watch video you created • students can comment or put image in (inside of the app) • the student can respond (recorded voice!!!!) and write on screen at same time • students can talk to each other
