Guidance • Of course, such a system needs some guidance as all members are not automatically familiar with the activities of a management system • These guidelines are being developed and will be presented to the project managers during the following weeks • In summary: we have to insist on the representativeness of the members (nominated by the corresponding ministries) and clarify the work to be done • In association with • Ramboll, Milieu & Tethys

Representativeness of the group members • The TORs for the N&RWGs have been established to ensure a full representativeness of the Marine world. • The ships cannot survive without the ports and vice-versa! • So involvement of port authorities is necessary. • A cooperation between all the stakeholders of this world is paramount: especially at the time of delegation and privatization of ports facilities • The ship-owners, the port operators, the Authorities or the organizations working on their behalf must meet regularly to share experiences. • The guidance document will focus on this important issue • In association with • Ramboll, Milieu & Tethys

Coordination • An effort of coordination do exist • We have proposed almost the same agenda to the different working groups in order to get results which can be analysed and compared in an easy manner • Our action to concentrate on the NWGs just before the RWG was not easy to carry out but in fact we are not far from having succeeded • From now on the actions proposed by the groups will focus, among others, on the Regional Action Plan • In association with • Ramboll, Milieu & Tethys
