How we do things is as important as what we do • We are passionate about customers • We have trust and respect for individuals • We perform at a high level of achievement and contribution • We deliver meaningful innovation • We achieve our results through teamwork • We conduct our business with uncompromising integrity • We are open and honest
In 2004, the MCP Program enabled • $1.6 billion in HP products and services sold by diversity resellers • $1.4 billion in awards to US minority, women and veteran businesses • Access to >35,000 small and medium businesses • Regulatory and contractual compliance and reporting • HP teams across the businesses and key functional areas • Operational effectiveness and efficiencies • New and innovative supplier diversity initiatives and alliances • New supplier diversity programs for international markets
HP implemented the program because • HP recognized that talent is distributed throughout the general population • And to offer the best products and solutions we must cultivate relationships with a diverse base of suppliers, resellers and customers worldwide • It is a measurement of HP’s commitment to global corporate citizenship and supply chain social responsibility • And because HP is committed to being a social and economic asset in the communities where we live, work and derive revenues
We drive results because we have been doing this for a long time • 1958 • HP established a Small Business Program • 1968 • HP and seven other major corporations established the first Minority Business Programs in the US • 1972 • Minority Business Program formally institutionalized throughout all HP US business units • 1990 • HP Women Business Program launched • 1998 • HP HUBZone Program launched (Historically-Underutilized Business Zone) • 1999 • HP Disabled Veteran Business Program launched • 2004 • HP identified teams and expanded infrastructure to support international supplier diversity initiatives • Supplier Diversity Program developed for the UK (England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland) • 2005 • Supplier Diversity Programs under development for Canada, South Africa and Germany

We understand our customers’ supplier diversity programs and commitments • We create new and innovative supplier diversity initiatives and programs that add value to their programs • Concordis, first-ever minority and women business alliance in the real estate industry • Southcoast Paper, minority manufacturer of HP Business & Copy Papers • We insure HP is in compliance with regulatory and contractual supplier diversity requirements and reporting • We maintain documentation and audit reports that demonstrate HP meets or exceeds customer expectations
This is how we do it • We partner in delivering minoritysolutions worldwide - First minority group formed to serve the Real Estate industry. • Design programs tailored to minority business enterprises (MBE) - HP Hosted Professional Services Forums • Enhance MBE competitiveness in the marketplace - Professional Development, Mentoring…Southcoast Paper • Develop solutions to minimize Supplier Rationalization
