  2. Standards • Creative Expression: • 2.1 • Sing age-appropriate songs from memory. • We are going to learn the words to the song Alfie the Elf. After we have gone over the song a few times we will then put it to music.

  3. Vocabulary Words • Elf- • One of Santa’s Helper’s • Santa’s Workshop- • Where the elves make the toys for all the girls and boys. • Discouraged- • This is a feeling that you feel when you try to do something, but it just keeps messing up.

  4. ‘Alfie the Elf’ Alfie the elf was santa’s helper, alfie the elf just love to try, but when he worked for dear old santa, alfie the elf could only cry “oh” when he stubbed his toe. “Um” when he hurt his thumb. “Eee” when he banged his knee. “Oh boy” when he broke a toy. Alfie the elf was so discouraged “ help me please santa won’t you try.” so santa gave alfie brand new glasses. Alfie the elf no more did cry. “oh” when he stubbed his toe. “Um” when he hurt his thumb. “Eee” when he banged his knee. “Oh boy” when he broke a toy. Alfie the elf was oh so happy. Thank you dear santa for this joy. Now alfie the elf can help make the presents For all the little girls and boys.
