  1. My Class Profile By: Jake Lepkowski

  2. The Chief of the Tribe Walter Connery

  3. Helpers Karen Mallard-Read 180 Jacob Lepkowski-Student Teacher Melissa Hebert-Switch Teacher

  4. What do we Teach? 4th Grade reading and writing.

  5. Daily Routine Schedule: Class starts at 8:10 Switch 8:25 P.E. 9:15- 10:00 Switch back at 11:35 Lunch at 11:48 Come back at 12:18 Day ends at 2:30

  6. Laying Down the Law Our discipline plan for class is a behavior chart. If a student doesn’t have homework or is being a class disruption he/she gets a mark on the chart. When he/ she reaches 3 strikes they don’t get Freedom Friday. Also they get weekly reviews that get sent home to their parents on Tuesday.

  7. The Penalty Sits in the corner under Mr. Connery’s or Mr. Lepkowski’s supervision.

  8. Mrs. Hebert’s Homeroom!

  9. Sarah and Rauri They’re both very kind. Sarah is far more sociable than Rauri. These two have the same problem, however, they like to rush when it comes to their work. Rauri and I always talk about baseball. He is a Red Sox fan while I love the Yankees, so we “argue” about the rivalry sometimes.

  10. Aiden and Timmy These two are ridiculous they both make laugh, but they do strive to impress me with their work ethics. Tim has a little issue with telling the truth, and Aiden has a little problem with keeping his mouth shut at times.

  11. Kayleeand Lindsey These two are the sweetest girls in Mrs. Hebert’shomeroom. Kaylee is every teacher’s dream student. She gets all of her work done on time, and is a big participant in Teacher Appreciation Week. Lindsey, on the other hand, is the “queen” of the class. She’s probably had 8 different boyfriends throughout the year.

  12. Willem and Tess Willem is a “distraction.” I mean that in the nicest way possible. He’s got such a great personality, and everyone in the class likes him. Tess is loud! She’s got a little issue with that. Tess is very talented in the category of fashion. It’s a unique talent to have at such a young age, but she’s got it.

  13. Joe and Billy These two are another pair of great kids. Billy was the first boy in this class to open up and talk to me, and Joe and I have a special connection which I’ll talk about later.

  14. Will and Brianna Will is an athlete, and there’s nothing wrong with that. The only downside to this trait is that his focus is 100% on his sports. With 100% of his focus on a specific subject, there’s little effort put into his schoolwork. Brianna is such a great personality in the classroom. She’s always got a positive attitude towards everything. Her bright personality is radiant with her classmates.

  15. Marissa and Jackie Marissa is the brightest girl out of the two classes. Her mother is a teacher at PA middle, and is really involved with her schoolwork. Besides that, Marissa has a gentle personality, and is very friendly towards others. Jackie is quieter then most of the girls in the class. From the beginning of the year to now her transition from quiet and in the corner to being an involved part of the class.

  16. Austin and Hailey Austin has called himself “lazy,” and he’s right. If he’s not motivated for anything then it wont get done. Hailey is SILENT! It’s a little sad, because there has been no change in her from the beginning of the year until now. I wish she’d open up to us. She’s not just quiet around me she’s quiet with Mr. C and Princess Hebert too.

  17. JJ and Faith I don’t have pictures of either JJ or Faith, and I have no idea why. JJ is crazy! Sometimes her craziness is a little too much for both Mr. Connery and I to handle. Faith is the newest addition to the class roster. She’s really nice, and very personable with her peers. It’s been a treat to have her in class.

  18. Some Additional Shots

  19. Mr. Connery’s Homeroom!

  20. Jordan and Jason These two are the hardest workers in my class. They’re Read 180 kids, but they always put the most into all of their work. Jason is a cool kid, when you get to know him. At first impression he’s a little socially awkward, but as the year goes on he grows on you in a good way. Jordan is a cool kid too! He’s a big athlete, and always asks me questions about sports that I play. We talk about basketball a lot, and I love those conversations.

  21. Cole and Mark No offense to these two, but they are the biggest headaches for me in this class. Mark just try's too hard to be the class clown, and Cole just sits there with the blankest stare I’ve ever seen. It’s almost as if he has no idea what’s going on. Cole is an interesting case for me, because his older brother is one of my best friends. It’s probably weird for him to see the difference between “Mr. Lepkowski” and “Jake.” Regardless of the friendship between me and his brother, I’ve never let that get in the way of my teaching.

  22. Jack and Joey Jack is the one kid that you can tell is happy to see you when you walk in the class. He’s got the best qualities that a little kid could have at the age of ten. He’s that kid that you can tell has a bright future ahead of him. I hope my suspicion is correct. Joey is an interesting rugrat. He’s got these “mood swings.” He’ll go from being the Joey that we all like to the Joey that can’t stand to be in school period.

  23. Nevinand Ashton These two boys are the artists of the class. Nevin goes to ODC for his art, and Ashton is one of the best actors I’ve seen at the age of nine. They’re both best friends too so that’s even cooler. As the year went on Ashton has changed. He’s lost a lot of patience and gets annoyed easily with his peers. Nevinhas changed too. He has started to become a classroom disruption, and it’s sad. He has the potential to be so much more, but his behavior will halt his development sadly.

  24. Bella and Dom The first thing Dom ever said to me was “I’m your worst nightmare!” Let me tell you, I think he overestimated himself a little. He’s actually a delightful kidto me. He has some problems at home, and it shows. I know he can be capable of so much more, but he needs to relax. Bella is the sweetest girl in that class, she always shares her food with me.

  25. Paige and Jacob Jacob is my little dude! He and I probably spent an entire lunch block talking about all of the things we have in common. His only problem is that he never turns in his homework. Paige started out as the class weirdo, but the more time I spent with her, the more normal I realized she was. She taught me not t judge a book by its cover.

  26. Kiayaand Evelyn These two are best friends, but are completely different. Kiayais so sociable, she’s the popular girl in the class, and our connection is the strongest out of all my kids this year. Evelyn was really quiet at the beginning of the year, but she has finally opened up to me.

  27. Savannah and Caitlin Savannah is the “tomboy” in the class. She puts up with no crap from any of the guys in the class. Caitlin is a quiet type. She’s an avid reader, and her reading comprehension is off the charts.

  28. Kara (Jeff) and Aiden Kara (Jeff) is one of our inside jokes, that’ll be explained later. Aiden and I have a connection, because we both love sports. He’s a big baseball fan, so he took real well when he found out I was a really good baseball player back in the day.

  29. Ambaand Mia Ambaand Mia are the two nicest girls. They always get their work done on time and sure are interesting to talk to. They both are really hyper, but their positive attitudes are a delight throughout the room.

  30. Kaitlin Leonard Kaitlin is very bright, but she doesn’t show it off at all. Until I read her writing I thought she was just an average student, but I was wrong!

  31. Inside Jokes Joe: One day Joe was sitting there at his desk, and while he was talking to Lindsey, I kind of sort of took his lunchbox and hid it from him. Don’t worry he found it, but now Joe always has it with him. He is never without it when I’m teaching.

  32. More inside jokes Kara: So, when I first began my internship, I asked Kara one day how her name was pronounced. She just looked at me, so I was like alright “You’re Jeff now.” It caught on too. We both call each other “Jeff” now it’s so funny. She’s camera shy apparently.
