Journey So Far – Part 1 • BPRG – A cross representation of industry participants –Developed process models, definition of service lines for DCC & legacy changes document (Jan 12) • Smart Working Issues Group – Reviewed Gas requirements part of the Consequential changes document (Sep 12) • UNC Modification 0430 and UNC iGT MOD047 – Modifications developed and approved for the changes to support Foundation and DCC Day 1 • Smart Foundation – Effective Switching changes live with Smart Switching due from 01/10/13 • Project Smart Metering Portfolio Focus Group – Set up with a ToR and cross representation from Shippers, iGT’s, DN’s and DECC to verify requirements to enable these to be documented and approved

Journey So Far – Part 2 • DCC Day 1 Business Requirements Approval – Xoserve on behalf of the GT’s and working with the Focus group documented and gained sign off for the DCC Day 1 Business Requirements. These are now baselined and under formal change control. • DCC Day 1 Recommended Solution Option – From the signed off Business Requirements, a recommended solution option has been agreed to proceed into design. • DCC Day 1 DCA – A Detailed Cost Assessment was produced by Xoserve on behalf of the GT’s to support UNC Modification 0430 • DCC Day 1 Detailed Shipper Design – Mapping back to the baselined Business Requirements and solution design, Xoserve have commenced with the Shipper Design to provide the industry with the File Formats & Hierarchies that trace back to the signed off Business Requirements

High Level Plan and Milestones Q3 2013 Q3 2013 UK Link file formats issued to UK Link Committee (09/08/13) UK Link file formats representations close out (23/08/13) UK Link file formats re-issued (30/08/13) UK Link Committee meeting (12/09/13) Industry Testing & Trialling preparation activities (approach & scope) (Feb ’14) Industry Testing & Trialling (April ’14) Smart Metering DCC Day 1 Implementation (June ‘14)

Governance • All DCC Day 1 Business Requirements are under formal change control • Any proposed changes to UK Link File Format by the UK Link Committee will need to be verified by the Project Smart Metering Portfolio Focus Group • UNC Modification 0430 has been approved by Ofgem, all requirements are therefore stated in the Modification • Xoserve will propose changes to SPAA for DCC Day 1 requirements to support changes to GT Systems
