  2. Location • Canada is located directly above the U.S.

  3. Typical Family • Canadians act casual and do not emphasize on greetings. • Also, they are not allowed to wear hats or shoes.

Languages and Ethnicities • The two main languages in Canada are English and French. • More than 200 different ethnic origins were reported in the 2006 Census. • An estimated 5,068,100 individuals were members of the visible minority population. They represented 16.2% of the total population in 2006, up from 13.4% in 2001.

  5. Canadian Income • Average household income is $57,193. • Their currency is called Canadian dollars.

  6. Marriage Status • Unmarried – 52% • Unmarried Divorced – 18% • Legally Married – 48% • There are more non-traditional homes in Canada. • There are more families with separated parents.

  7. Sports • Canadians prefer hockey to all other sports. • Lacrosse is also a very prominent sport.

Differences • The U.S. enjoys football and baseball whereas Canada’s main sports are lacrosse and hockey. • They have Canadian dollars instead of American dollars.
