  1. Warm up 5/30/13 • Question: What do you call the highest point on a wave? The lowest? • Answer: • Highest = crest (or peak) • Lowest = trough • Goal: I will learn properties of waves.

  2. Element of the day • 81 – Thallium – Tl • Thallium is the first acutely toxic element since arsenic (33). Tests exist for thallium as a murder weapon, but it must be suspected first. • Symptoms of thallium poisoning include vomiting, hair loss, delirium, blindness, and abdominal pain.
