Vocabulary #1 • Any line segment that connects the center to a point on the circle • Answer: Radius
Vocabulary #2 • An angle whose vertex is the center • Answer: Central angle
Vocabulary #3 • The distance around the circle • Answer: Circumference
Vocabulary #4 • Any line segment that connects 2 points on the circle • Answer: Chord
Vocabulary #5 • A closed plane figure made up of all the points the same distance from the center • Answer: Circle
Vocabulary #6 • Any line segment through the center that connects 2 points on the circle • Answer: Diameter
Vocabulary #7 • The space enclosed within a circle • Answer: Area
Vocabulary #8 • The middle of the circle; how the circle is named • Answer: Center
