  2. characters There aren’t a whole lot of characters in this book but there are some. The main character in this book is Sophie. There is also Sophie's best friend Kate. Another person is Mindy, Sophie’s classmate. There is another one of Sophie's friends and that is Ella. Plus Sophie's teacher Mrs.Moffly.

  3. A little about the characters Sophie is an ordinary girl who is in 3rd grade and wants to be awesome. Kate is Sophie's best friend and is always with her and in her class. Mindy is always being mean to Sophie and always bugging her. Mindy is also in Sophie's class. Then comes Ella, Sophie's friend and bus friend. Ella is in kindergarten. Then there is Mrs.Moffly Sophie's teacher, but there isn’t much about her to tell.

  4. problem The problem in this story is that Sophie Miller wants to be awesome. But she can’t find the right name to use. Like ….. • Sophie the AMAZING • Sophie the WONDERFUL • Sophie the MARVLOUS Or maybe Sophie the AWESOME.

  5. settings The settings in this story are in school, on the playground and on the school bus.

  6. 5 MAJOR EVENTS • Sophie decided she needed a nickname to make her more interesting. • She decides on a nickname then tries showing off and being awesome. • Sophie’s teacher Ms. Moffly makes her interview her old best friend and she learns a lot about him. • Sophie gets new friends. • Sophie finds out she’s not awesome, but she’s something better than awesome.
