What was the dynamic of the classroom? • Made the students work through problems (D.S.) • Lesson then a project, Homework • Inclusion class, students working with each other, helping each other while teachers walked around (L.T.) • Teacher gives students time in class to study • Went through the homework and worked some problems then did a graphing calculator activity • Quizes and other assessments determined the students seating arrangement
About the Students • Diverse population of students • Distracted students even in a small group • Hard for students to pay attention at the end of the day
Teacher centered orStudent centered • Students were talking but not a lot about math (T.R.) • Students did not really like group work, they liked to have the ability talk while the teacher was talking • Students enjoyed the class because it was more open
How did they start the class? • 5 minutes to come up with three class questions about the quiz. Instructions about what to do after the quiz.
