  8. “Electronic prescribing can be an important tool for health care providers by increasing access to information on drugs that have been ordered by other prescribers and by making drug formulary information readily available. In addition, electronic prescribing reduces the potential for errors associated with interpreting doctor’s handwritten prescriptions and provide real-time information on dangerous drug interactions.
