  4. Standard Diploma • 24 Credits • Minimum of 2.0 unweighted GPA • Passing Level 3 Score on Reading FCAT 2.0

  5. Standard Diploma 24 Credits • 4 English • 4 Math (must include Alg. 1 and Geometry ) • 3 Science • World History, American History, Economics, and Amer. Gov’t. • HOPE • 1 Performing Fine Art • 1 – online course (excludes Drivers Ed) * • Electives * on-line course does not apply to senior class of 2014

Merit Designation Diploma All of the requirements of the Standard Diploma plus: * 8 Elective credits – students pursuing a merit designation must use electives to attain one or more industry certifications *Please note Bright Futures and Colleges do not accept Liberal Arts Math and Informal Geometry.

  7. Credit Scholar Designation Diploma Additional requirements include: • Must pass 11th grade EOC Language Arts • Must pass Biology EOC, Chemistry or Physics and 1 credit equally rigorous course • Must complete Algebra 2 and pass ALG 2 EOC • Must take Statistics (or equally rigorous math course) • Must pass US History EOC • 2 credits Foreign Language • Must earn 1 AP, IB, AICE, or DE course credit

  8. Grade Point Average (GPA) Completion of a .5 credit in any course applies towards the calculation of the GPA. Weighted courses earn extra value. • Honors (+.5) • Dual Enrollment (+1.0) • Advanced Placement (+1.0) • IB (+1.0)

  9. GPA • A= 4 points (weighted 4.5 or 5) • B= 3 points (weighted 3.5 or 4) • C= 2 points (weighted 2.5 or 3) • D= 1 point (weighted 1.5 or 2) • F= 0 points

  10. Grade Placement Moving on to 10th grade. . . • 5 Total Credits 11th grade. . . • 11 Total Credits 12th grade. . . • 17 Total Credits

  11. FCAT • Students must pass the Reading FCAT 2.0 with a level 3 in order to graduate. • Visit FCATexplorer.com for practice. • Visit Studyisland.com for practice • Every student will be given a user name and password. Ask you English or Reading teacher for access!

  12. Other Assessments • PSAT • CPT • ASVAB • PERT – Junior Year • Students take the ACT and SAT during their junior and senior years.

  13. College Credit Courses Dual Enrollment, AP and IB Dual Enrollment Requirements: 3.0 unweighted GPA Test Scores (CPT, ACT, SAT, or PERT)
