  3. Who is the reader the text must appeal to? Remember: You are NOT the reader unless the text is aimed at 16 year olds! • What sort of people would be likely to consider this holiday? Think about their lifestyle and personality and what would interest them about such an experience?

Now how does this language actually appeal? • Look at the techniques you selected and explain now how they would appeal to one of the following: • The reader’s sense of adventure • The promise of a unique experience • The promise of both an exciting yet educative experience Remember: Q2 is all about how the text achieves its purpose through the writer’s choice of methods and how they specifically target a specific audience profile!
