Making a Local Call • Nexsen Pruet Internalcalls (all NP offices) : • dial recipient’s 4-digit extension • Local outside NP office calls: • Dial “9” for an outside line (no dial tone) • dial the telephone number • LocalAccess Numbers* for all NP offices: • Charleston …………… 68+9+7 digits • Charlotte …………….. 64+9+10 digits • Columbia …………….. 67+9+7 digits • Greensboro …………. 63+9+7 digits • Greenville ……………. 69+9+7 digits • Hilton Head …………. 65+9+7 digits • Myrtle Beach ……….. 62+9+7 digits • Raleigh ………………… 61+9+10 digits • Raleigh Downtown 61+9+10 digits *Use this # for calling To – not From

  3. Making a Long Distance Call • Dial “8” + 1 + Area Code + Phone Number • Wait for the tone. • Enter Client-Matter code (6/5 digits) (i.e. 123456-78910) then press #. (The C/M code must have 11 digits. For example, if your C/M code is 1234-5, you must enter “0’s” to reach the 11-digit requirement (i.e. 001234-00005) • This method is required to use when calling from a conference room or faxing long distance, including international calling or faxing.

  4. Call Transferring • While the caller is on the line, push the Transfer soft key (second from left) on you Cisco phone. • Dial the extension to which you are transferring the call. When you hear ringing: • If you press Transfer again, the call will immediately be transferred to the designated extension as it rings; or • You may wait until someone answers the designated extension, announce the call, press Transfer to transfer the call. • Hang up to end your participation in the call.

  5. Standard Conference Call • When on a call, press the More soft key. • Press the Conf soft key, dial the number you would like to conference in. • Press the Conf soft key again ***Repeat these steps as needed***

  6. Set Up a Meet-Me Conference Call • Call the Receptionist to reserve a date and time. Receptionist will assign you a Meet-Me extension number. • Approximately 5 minutes prior to the designated time, • press the Speaker soft key and press the Meet-Me soft key. • or - lift the handset or press the New Call soft key and press the Meet-Me soft key. • Dial the assigned Meet-Me number.

  7. Join a Meet-Me Conference Call • Pick up the handset and dial the assigned number (or press the New Call soft key) .

  8. Setting Up Voicemail • Press the Messages button on your phone. • Default password is : 112233# • Follow the prompts for recording your name, greeting, and changing your voicemail password.

  9. Checking Voicemail – via Outlook When you receive a voicemail, an email also appears in your Inbox. This email will contain a .wav file with the voicemail message.

  10. Checking Voicemail – via Outlook Double click on the attached .wav file, and a window will pop up to play your voicemail automatically.

  11. Checking Voicemail – via Outlook Message playing…

  12. Checking Voicemail – via Outlook Option to play message again.

  13. Checking Voicemail – via Outlook d Red light and flashing envelope indicate a message is waiting.

  14. Forwarding Calls • Press the CFwdAll soft key. • Dial the telephone number that you want to forward calls to. (To forward to an external number, dial 9+number.) • To send calls directly to Voice Mail • Press CFwdAll soft key + the Messages button • To turn off call forwarding, press CFwdAll.

  15. Checking Voicemail – via Phone • Press the Messages button. • Enter your password. • Press #. • Follow the prompts to listen, save, and delete your messages.

  16. Checking Voicemail – Remotely • Dial your direct phone number. • Press * when your voicemail greeting begins. • Enter your password, followed by #.

  17. Directories – Call Histories • Press the Directories button on your phone. • You can review Missed Calls, Placed Calls, and Received Calls. • Choose the appropriate option from the list. Use navigation arrows on the phone to move up and down the list. Directories button

  18. Directories – Firm Directory • Press the Directories button on your phone. • Choose Firm Directory. • Enter the letters of the first and/or last name of the person for whom you are searching. • Press the Submit soft key. Directories button

  19. Settings – Ring Tones • Select the Settings button on your phone. • Select User Preferences from the option list. • Select Rings from the option list, then choose Default Rings. • Select the line that you want to change the ring tone for, your main line or an alternate line. • Select the Play soft key to preview each tone. • Press the Select soft key to choose the ring tone, then “Save.” • Press the Exit soft key.
