  2. Површина 636км2, 117 072 становника, Надморска висина од најниже 204м до највише 985м, Изразито повољан геостратешки и саобраћајни положај. Кроз град протиче река Западна Морава. Развијен сектор малих и средњих предузећа. Један од економски најразвијенијих градова у Србији. У граду постоје 2 факултета и међународно познати Институт за воћарство. Territory 636km2, 117 072 inhabitants, The altitude (the height above sea level)is from the lowest 204mto the highest 985m, Extremely favorable geostrategic and traffic position. The river West Morava flows through the city. Developed SME (small and medium enterprises) sector. One of the economically most developed cities in Serbia.   3. 2005. год. усвојени Стратегија развоја и ЛЕАП града Чачка. 2007. год. формирана Канцеларија за локални економски развој. 2008. год. Канцеларија прерасла у Градску управу за локални економски развој са 20 запослених подељених у Одсек за привредне делатности и Одсек за развојне пројекте. 2010. године Град Чачак добио сертификат од стране НАЛЕД-а као повољно пословно окружење (по чему је Чачак међу 20 најуспешнијих локалних самоуправа). In 2005 were adopted the Development Strategy and the LEAP of the city of Cacak. In 2007 was established the Office for the local economic development. In 2008 the office became the City Department for the local economic development, with 20 employees divided into the Department of economic activities and the Department of Development Projects. In 2010 The city of Cacak was certified by the NALED as a favorable business environment (which lines up Cacak among the 20 most successful local governments). City of Cacak has an intensive cooperation with numerous local governments and organizations from Europe: Town of Brezno, Slovak Republic, Town of Valasske Mezirici, Czech Republic, Municipality of Agria, Republic of Greece, Municipality of Katerini, Republic of Greece, Municipality of Thermi, Republic of Greece CRES - KAPE, the Center for Renewable Energy Sources – Athens, Republic ofGreece, ECONET – Athens, expert network,Republic of Greece,IFAS - Birkenfeld, The Institute for Applied Material Flow Management , the Federal Republic of Germany,DELTA 2000 - Comacchio,DevelopmentAgency, Republic of Italy.   5. Значајни инвестициони пројекти реализовани донацијама Европске комисије: ''Модернизација и рехабилитација система даљинског грејања''. Пројекат финансирала Европска агенција за реконструкцију, у 2007 и 2008. год. Током пројекта су изграђене градске топлане Чачак (45 МW) и Шумадија Центар (15,6 МW), реконструисано је 90 подстаница система даљинског грејања и део топловодне мреже. Вредност пројекта је била око 4,6 милиона ЕУР. ''Изградња регионалне санитарне депоније Дубоко''. Донација Европске агенције за реконструкцију у износу 4.000.000 ЕУР и кредит ЕБРД (Европске банке за обнову и развој) у износу од 5.000.000 ЕУР. Significant investment projects implemented by donations of the European Commission: ''Modernization and rehabilitation of the district heating system ''. The project financed by the European Agency for Reconstruction, in 2007 and 2008. During the project were built district heating plants Cacak (45 MW) and Sumadija Center (15.6 MW), were 90 district heating substations and apart of the hot water network. The value of the project was app.4.6 million EUR. ''Construction of the regional sanitary landfill''Duboko”. The donation of the European Agency for Reconstruction in the amount of € 4,000,000 EUR and a loan from EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) in the amount of 5,000,000 EUR.   6. Пројекат: Техничка подршка заштити животне средине на територији Чачка Програм EXCHANGE I. Партнер: Место Брезно. Први успешан пројекат где је Чачак имао партнере изван Србије. Вредност пројекта: 120.000 ЕУР. Кроз пројекат основана Служба за заштиту животне средине и обучени запослени у овој служби. The Project: Technical assistance to the environmental protection in the territory of Cacak The EXCHANGE I Program. Partner: Place Brezno. The first successful project where Cacak had partners outside of Serbia. The value of the project : 120.000 EUR. Through the project was established the Office for Environmental protection and were trained employees of this service.   7. Пројекат: Н.А.П.(Мрежа јадранских паркова). Програм прекограничне сарадње. Партнери: Већи број партнера из Италије и земаља Југоисточне Европе. Вредност пројекта: око 2 милиона ЕУР (део који се односи на Чачак је био 45.000 ЕУР). Кроз пројекат основан Центар за посетиоце Овчарско-кабларске клисуре и презентирана еко-туристичка и гастрономска понуда Чачка. The N.A.P. (Network of Adriatic Parks)project: A cross-border cooperation program. Partners: A larger number of partners from Italy and countries of the Southeast Europe. Value : about 2 million EUR(of which the part relates to Cacak was 45,000 EUR). Through the project was established the Center for visitors of the Ovcar Kablar Gorge and presented the eco-tourism and gastronomy offer of Cacak.   8. Пројекат: РАЗВОЈ АЛТЕРНАТИВНИХ ИЗВОРА ЕНЕРГИЈЕ И ИНСТАЛАЦИЈА СОЛАРНИХ КОЛЕКТОРА У ПРЕХРАМБЕНО-УГОСТИТЕЉСКОЈ ШКОЛИ и ВРТИЋИМА на територији Града Чачка. Пројекат реализован током 2007. и 2008. године, кроз Hellenic Aid programme. Вредност пројекта: 200.000,00 ЕУР. Постављени су соларни колектори за загревање санитарне воде на средњој Прехрамбено-угоститељској школи и на 3 дечија вртића. Партнери: CRES – КАПЕ, Центар за обновљиве изворе енергије – Атина, Република Грчка, ECONET – Атина, експертска мрежа, Република Грчка. The project: DEVELOPMENT OF ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCES AND INSTALLATION OF SOLAR COLLECTORS IN PREHRAMBENO-UGOSTITELJSKA SCHOOL and KINDERGARTENS in the territory of the city of Cacak. The project was completed in 2007and 2008, through the Hellenic Aid Program.The value of the project was: 200.000,00 EUR. Solar collectors for heating sanitary hot water were polaced on the secondary Prehrambeno-ugostiteljska school and threekindergartens. Partners: CRES - KAPE, the Center for Renewable Energy – Athens, Republic of Greece, ECONET – Athens, expert network, Republic of Greece.   9. Пројекат: ''Развој конкурентности и предузетништва малих и средњих предузећа – Оснивање Инфо-Центра за мала и средња предузећа''. Инфо Центар за МСП основан и оперативан. Реализација комплетирана 2007. и 2008. године. Вредност пројекта: 120.000 ЕУР. The project:''The development of competitiveness and entrepreneurship of small and medium enterprises - Establishment of the Info-Centre for Small and Medium Enterprises''. TheInfo Centre for SMEs established and operational. Completed in 2007 and 2008. The value of the project: 120.000 EUR.   10. Пројекат:''Информатичко моделовање планских докумената уз примену ГИС-а''. Реализација комплетирана 2009. год. Финансирао швајцарски СДЦ. Извршене обуке запослених за рад у ГИС-у и набављена предвиђена рачунарска опрема. The project:'‘IT modeling of plan documents with the application of GIS''. Completed in 2009. Funded by the Swiss SDC. Completed training of the employees for the work in GIS and provided planned computer equipment.   11. Пројекат:''Развој примарне селекције отпада на територији Града Чачка''. Реализацију пројекта суфинансирао швајцарски СДЦ. Укупна вредност пројекта је 310.000 CHF.Кроз пројекат набављено 7 возила за одвожење отпада, набављено 3 милиона кеса за прихват селектованог отпада и развијена примарна селекција отпада на месту настанка. The project:''The development of primary waste selection in the territory of the city of Cacak''. The implementation of the project was co-financed by the Swiss SDC. The total value of the projectwas 310,000 CHF. Through the project were purchased seven vehicles for disposal of waste, acquired 3 million bags for the reception of a selected waste and developed the primary waste selection at thesource.   12. Пројекат: ''Ревитализација иригационог система на територији Града Чачка'' – кроз програм МЕГА-УСАИД. МЕГА програм је донирао новчана средства за бетонске радове на Брани Парменац. Вредност донације: око 65.000 ЕУР. The project: ‘’The revitalization of the irrigation system in the territory of the city of Cacak'‘– the MEGA-USAID. The MEGA Program has donated funds for the concrete work on the dam Parmenac. The value of the donation: 65,000 EUR.   13. Пројекат: ''Попис и процена вредности имовине Града Чачка'' – кроз програм EXCHANGE II, током 2009. год. Пројекат је успешно реализован и реализацијом је Град Чачак постао пример позитивне праксе када је реч о управљању имовином. Велики број градова и општина из Србије је изразио жељу да на сличан начин обави за будућност нужан попис и процену вредности имовине. The project: ''The inventory and valuation of the assets of the city of Cacak'‘– through the EXCHANGE II Program, in 2009. The project was successfully implemented and by itsimplementation,the City of Cacak has become an example of good practice in terms of assets management. A large number of cities and municipalities in Serbia expressed the willingness to, in the future, perform in a similar way the necessary inventory and valuation of the property.   14. Реализовани пројекти за помоћ ромској националној мањини кроз програме УНДП-а и УН ХАБИТАТ-а. Кроз пројекте реализована изградња водоводне и канализационе мреже и санитарних објеката за ромску популацију. Реализована 3 појединачна пројекта, укупне вредности око 50.000 ЕУР. Completed projects for help to the Roma national minority through the programs of UNDP and UNHABITAT. The projects wereimplemented through the construction of water supply and sewerage pipeline networks and sanitation facilities for the Roma population.   15. Пројекат: Развој система интегралне заштите пољопривредне производње од болести, штеточина и елементарних непогода. Пројекат у фази пуне реализације. У оквиру EXCHANGE III програма. Партнер: Место Валашске Мезиричи, Чешка. Вредност: 275.000 ЕУР. Пројекат је био међу два најбоље оцењена пројекта у оквиру програма. The project: The development of an integrated pest, disease and natural hazard management system in agricultural crops The project is in the stage of full implementation. Within the EXCHANGE III Program. Partner: Town of Valasske Mezirici, Czech Republic. Value: 275.000 EUR. The project was among the two best evaluated projects within the scope of the program.   16. Пројекат: Развој система интегрисаног управљања комуналним чврстим отпадом у локалним самоуправама Србије. Пројекат у фази пуне реализације. Град Чачак је партнер у реализацији пројекта. Поред српских градова и општина учествује Општина Морбах из Немачке. Пројекат у оквиру EXCHANGE III програма. Вредност: 250.000 ЕУР. The project: Development of an integrated of communal solid waste management in local self governments of Serbia. The project is in the stage of the full implementation. City of Cacak is a partner in the realization of the project. Beside the Serbian towns and municipalities, the municipality Morbach,Germany is alsoparticipating.   17. Посебно наглашавамо континуитет учешћа Града Чачка у програмима EXCHANGE I, EXCHANGE II и две апликације у оквиру EXCHANGE III програма. Имајући у виду да су EXCHANGE програми посебан вид помоћи Европске комисије градовима и општинама у Србији. We particularly emphasise the continuity of participation of the city of Cacak in the programs Exchange I, Exchange II and two applications within the scope of the Exchange III Program. Bearing in mind that the Exchange programs are the special assistance of the European Commission to the cities and municipalities in Serbia. У будућности Град Чачак има опредељење да и даље ради интензивно на развоју сарадње са другим градовима и општинама у Европи, као и са другим организацијама (институтима, факултетима, невладиним организацијама, развојним агенцијама итд.), а све у функцији даљег обостраног одрживог развоја. In the future, the city of Cacak has a commitment to continue to intensively work on developing the cooperation with other cities and municipalities in Europe, as well as with other organizations (institutes, faculties, NGOs, development agencies, etc..),in the function of further mutual sustainable development.
