Goal and Objectives Goal Objectives • To ensure that applying for best practice awards is seamless and easy for clubs at every level of the organization • Decrease the administrative work required for clubs • Increase the consistency of awards • Increase consistency of expectations • Increase the number of clubs that apply Soroptimist Governors Round Table | June 23-24, 2013 | Program

Soroptimists Celebrating Success! Current Issues Recommendation • Clubs would apply to the regions • Regions will select the region-level recipients Federation selects region and federation-level recipients Many regions have similar programs Soroptimist Governors Round Table | June 23-24, 2013 | Program
Benefits of the Recommendation • It would give the regions a say • It would allow clubs to apply just once for best practice awards for membership, program, public awareness, and fundraising • It would create better cohesion between the federation and region Soroptimist Governors Round Table | June 23-24, 2013 | Program
The Club Award Current Issues Recommendation • Federation would issue an award to all clubs based on information available at SIAHQ Simply an exercise of checking boxes Soroptimist Governors Round Table | June 23-24, 2013 | Program
The “Club Certificate” • Note: clubs would NOT have to apply for the award • Participation in the Women’s Opportunity Awards • Paid dues on time • Gained members • Participated in Club Giving at recognition levels Soroptimist Governors Round Table | June 23-24, 2013 | Program
New “Club Award” Would become a tool for the regions to help enforce the messages and plans for the upcoming year Could be used in the region as an award Soroptimist Governors Round Table | June 23-24, 2013 | Program
Region Award Evaluation • Lori will be available to help regions review and revise their award programs • Goal: region awards will not overlap or contradict with federation awards Soroptimist Governors Round Table | June 23-24, 2013 | Program
