Redundancy of tests e.g. The ability to ferment lactose is tested in: • Brilliant green agar • EMB agar • Enterotube If you are suspicious about the results of lactose fermentation test in the EMB plate, check lactose fermentation in the Brilliant green agar plate and in the Enterotube.
