3. Strategic Business Development Overview Strategic Business Development is part of NISHs Regional Operations Business Unit, and supports growth and development within specific services business areas as well as new initiatives

4. Strategic Business Development Key focus areas for the Strategic Business Development Team Include:
Support the creation of new jobs for people with significant disabilities in strategic growth areas
Collaboration with the Federal customer and CRP community to identify new business line growth areas to expand footprint
Provide industry expertise to assist with developing CRP capability and capacity

Provide technical support for project development and start up
Educate Federal customer on capabilities within the strategic lines of business

9. Secure Document Destruction The Secure Document Destruction line of business continues to build upon the successes from the launch of our National IRS contract
FY11 Highlights include:
Expansion of the IRS National Contract (phase II) to include over 80 new locations
Initiation of a second expansion of the IRS National contract (phase III) to include additional sites and campus locations
Launch of the new Secure Document Destruction Operations class
Activities on the horizon for FY12 Include:
Aggressive pursuit of Federal Supply Schedule opportunities
Pursuit of National solutions with the USDA and Social Security Administration
Launch of a new SDD webinar series on topical/operational issues
10. Hospitality Services The Hospitality Services line of business continues to focus on building CRP and customer awareness of AbilityOne capabilities in this emerging business area
FY11 Highlights include:
Successful Addition of the Property Management Services contract with the National Park Service in Arizona (Grand Canyon) Expansion of the Hospitality Services training offerings to include lodging management, furnishing management, etc
Engagement on multiple commercial opportunities to support University lodging management requirements
Activities on the horizon for FY12 Include:
Continued pursuit of First Sergeant Barracks program opportunities
Pursuit of new requirements to include furnishings management, convention services, meeting planning, etc.
11. Secure Mail/Digital Document Services AbilityOne has experienced a resurgence of activity in Secure Mail and Digital Document Services due to our well established brand and level of experience in mail management with the Federal Government
FY11 Highlights include:
Expanded locations for the national IRS mailroom contract
Successful Addition of the CDC mailroom contract in Atlanta, GA
Increased mailroom requirements as part of bundled Administrative Services contracts
Launch of the new SM/DDS training programs
Activities on the horizon for FY12 Include:
Increased training webinars
Commercial partnership pilots (Doma technologies)
Aggressive pursuit of new opportunities to include bundled administrative services requirements
12. Supply Chain Management The Supply Chain Management business line continues to see a growth in the level of interest and opportunity to provide innovative customer solutions
FY11 Highlights include:
Successful addition of the U.S. Navy Warehousing service opportunity at Norfolk/Oceana
Launch of a new Central Issue Facility Service at Fort Hood
Development of a new opportunity for OCIE Repairables as part of a National Solution
Increased non-AbilityOne subcontracting opportunities (Army EAGLE)
Activities on the horizon for FY12 Include:
Engagement in more bundled opportunities with Supply Chain Management components (Department of Logistics contracts, HHS mailroom/warehousing requirement, etc)
Increased opportunities for partnering with large 3PL providers
Pursuit of Federal Supply Schedule opportunities
13. Total Facilities Management While the TFM line of business has seen explosive growth within the Department of Defense and DPW contracts, there is significant opportunity that can be developed in other facets of the industry that provide great potential for AbilityOne CRPs
FY11 Highlights include:
Several new PL Additions to include, Fort Meade, Carlisle Barracks, and the Marks Center
Launch of NISHs TFM Program office to support global growth and management of AbilityOne TFM solutions
Successful Addition of the DPW requirement at Fort Knox, KY. This site will also serve as NISHs Project of Excellence training location for TFM
Activities on the horizon for FY12 Include:
Expanded TFM training opportunities (to include the Project of Excellence site)
Launch of a new Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
14. Laundry Services AbilityOne Laundry Services continue to experience growth despite the challenging economic conditions and impact of Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) Procurement guidance
FY11 Highlights include:
Successful addition of a new Laundry requirement in Guam
Successful addition of a new requirement for Laundry and Dry cleaning Services
Continued sales and marketing to the DVA
Activities on the horizon for FY12 Include:
Aggressive pursuit of new opportunities to include with MEDCOM
Launch of new training classes to include tracks for productivity and efficiency
Analysis of new laundry management software solutions (Centrex)
Continued pursuit and support for commercial laundry opportunities
15. Healthcare Environmental Services Re-launched in 2011, the Healthcare Environmental Services line of business (HES) provides significant opportunity for AbilityOne in the area of Aseptic cleaning
FY11 Highlights include:
Successful addition of the Hospital Housekeeping requirement at Ireland Army Hospital
Hiring of a new Senior Program Manager for HES Stephen Pierce
Successful partnership with MEDCOM and the AbilityOne commission in support of new HES requirements with the Army
Activities on the horizon for FY12 Include:
Implementation of the new HES Program office
Research and analysis of new HES opportunities
Launch of new HES training programs
