  2. Introduction Transport companies use many types of trucks and vehicles to facilitate all types of freight items. In this presentation we are going to discuss some of the main types of trucks.

  3. Flatbed Mostly, flatbed trucks are used by the transport companies. These trucks have a flat surface to load the weight. It has several advantages and covers a variety of freight items. These trucks are open from the sides which offer easy loading and unloading.

  4. Dry Vans To transport the items that need to remain dry, there are dry vans. These vehicles guarantee that there is no chance of rain water, humidity and any other external factor affecting the freight integrity and condition.

  5. Reefers Reefers are vehicles with temperature control to keep the temperature sensitive items in perfect condition during the transportation.

  6. FTL/LTL Load The types of trucks that offer full truckload and less than truck loads are also mostly used by transport companies. These are the trucks with the sides covered to protect the freight from the weather elements and also for the privacy purpose.
