  5. Outcomes of the War • Proclamation of 1763->The colonists wanted to settle the Mid Ohio Valley ->This was a law that said they couldn’t ->they thought this was unfair->the British government thought that it would be too costly to let people settle there because of the First Americans.had already killed over 2000 settlers

  10. Tea Act • Tea Act: Final spark before the Revolutionary War! 1773. Did not impose any new taxes, but was to help the East India Company (owned by Britain) who had too much tea and the act ordered the tea to be shipped directly to the colonies. The colonists felt that it would undermine local tea merchants -> Led to Boston Tea Party!

  11. Sons of Liberty • Combining forces -> Sons of Liberty!!!! • 1765 • Group of shopkeepers and artisans got together • Began preparing for revolt against the stamp act • Forced a lot of the colonial governors to go into hiding.

  12. The Perfect Recipe for Rebellion • 1cup unfairness • ½ tablespoon of anger • ½ cup taxes • pinch of resentment • 1. Pour unfairness into a bowl.2. Slowly mix in the anger.3. Sprinkle on the taxes.4. Add resentment to taste.
