PROCDURE •Greeting:Good morning everyone! •Warm up (3s) • Let one student sing a song and ask what music in his/her opinion can bring us? •Stage 1 Presentation(10s) • a)Introduce the history of jazz
Jazz a kind of very popular music. It is compounded by RAGTIME and BLUES .RAGTIME ,one kind of black people’s music,it is played by piano and its tone is very rough ,quick, and always changing.BLUES ,which is played by guitar expressed black people’s uncomfortable,disappointment in the beginning.
The first jazz record is ‘THE ORIGINAL DIXELAND JAZZ BAND’There are many beautiful jazz in our familiar movies,such as’Casablanca’which include ‘TIME GOES BY’.’The Bridge of Madison Country’, a very moved movies,including’I SEE YOUR FACE BEFORE ME’ If you have spare time you can see these movies on the internet. OK, let’s study our new vocabulary together
