  1. Article1: Benbassatortho.com A Thorough Piece on Dental Braces Crooked teeth is not a problem of a generation, but is a source of embarrassment and frustration for the humankind. Through years, doctors and dentists have collaboratively embarked on the ambitious project of finding the best solution for misaligned tooth. What ensued was a long menu of unsuccessful remedies that caused everything from irritation to injury, and even further embarrassment, but they couldn’t somehow place their finger on the most perfect corrective, until braces were invented. With the evolution of braces, every other solution that was every proposed to cure crooked teeth went downhill. These successful dental fixtures are used by orthodontics in Richmond Hill to this day to fix and correct misaligned teeth for children and adults. Types Braces have travelled a long way to come to us in the 21st century. They are no longer the rudimentary, steely, abrasive fixtures they used to be. Modern braces are different. They are polished, gum-friendly and far more effective than the early ones. Though we still have steel braces among us, but they are nothing like their older cousins. Currently, we have two types of braces on the chart, ones that are fixed and others removable. The latter gets more takers than the former for the obvious reason of convenience. In the modern day, braces are designed in two styles, bands and wires. However, there is a third kind of brace that has gotten a lot of mouths talking which is the invisible aligners. They are called aligners and not braces, not because there is some marketing motive involved. These fixtures indeed are aligners. They are vetted by the best orthodontist in Richmond Hill to work faster than their steel counterpart. They are called invisaligns because they camouflage with the teeth in the background leaving no trace for people to figure out. So, not only can you be out in public wearing them, they can even escape notice when you are sitting next to somebody. Functions The ways braces or aligners work are not very different from one another. They are designed in the shape of the patients’ oral cavity. They are worn on the set of teeth with a little plate that anchors itself with the hard and soft palate of the mouth. The brackets have tiny squares which are attached to the front of the teeth. Their job is to push it inward, tooth by tooth. However, the brackets are fitted seamlessly so that the patients do not face difficulty in opening or closing their mouth. It doesn’t interfere with the tongue and so speech impediment is not a likely effect of wearing braces. Wearing braces for a long time helps reshaping of the teeth. The crooked teeth are pushed back in a symmetrical row where every tooth is in perfect position. Clear braces are often set in the teeth using dental bonding agents for better fitting and hiding.
