  2. Last Year In Review • Class of 2012 included first Maverick AOE Graduates • 100% AOE Graduation Rate – Class of 2012 • 95% of AOE Class of 2012 went on to college or the military • 78% of AOE Class of 2012 completed an Internship • $375,000 in Scholarships were awarded to AOE Class of 2012

Expectations of Students 9th Grade Year PLTW Introduction to Engineering* 10th Grade Year PLTW Principles of Engineering* 11th Grade Year PLTW Civil Engineering and Architecture* INTERNSHIP DURING SUMMER AFTER 11TH GRADE 12th Grade Year PLTW Digital Electronics* *All PLTW courses in the AOE are worth 2 additional quality points the same as an Advanced Placement course

  4. AOE Honors Completion of all AOE Requirements Cord to be worn at Graduation Name in the Graduation Program AOE Diploma with Distinction Completion of Everything except Internship AOE Diploma

  5. 2013-2014 Goals Advisory Board Add New Members to help push the Academy Forward Work Based Learning 100% Completion of Internships Academy Development Specific Events for Each Grade Level Curriculum and Instruction More AOE Board Involvement in the classroom

  6. Desires and Needs • AOE Website for improved Communication • Grant Money / Fundraising • PINS for Each Student • Graduation Cords • Monthly Student Activity – Volunteers Advisory Board Volunteers

  7. Technology Club • TSA – Technology Student Association • Maverick Motorsports – NASCAR ten80 Education • Vex Robotics • All are one club and only require Dues one time = $50 • Meet during Primetime and afterschool as needed • Many Competitions & Races/ Trips
