Getting Renewal Credit • GCS Approved Course • GCS handles registration • Participant registers online • Non-GCS Course • Outside Agency handles registration • Participant submits Event Request
From the Office of Professional Development Want to get CEU credit for workshops not offered by GCS? • Submit Event Request online 3 weeks before event. • After course completion, click the “I Have Completed This Event” button online. • Send documentation to Rick Cobb in Professional Development. For a Non-GCS Course For complete directions go to the Professional Development website and click on the “How To” link.
Professional Development • PD Password is different than GCS email Password. • You must apply for a GCS PD account on line on the Professional Development webpage.
Credit is validated & posted to Employee’s Transcript Participant submits Event Request Professional Development Approves Participant checks “I Have Completed This Event” Participant submits Certificate or Transcript to PD Non-GCS Events • College Credit, Workshops and Conferences • Participant submits Event Request. • Professional Development approves. • Participant indicates completion of Event Request. • Participant submits documentation to PD. • PD validates completion and post credit.
