  1. Musings On The Rise Of Self Storage Facilities By Benedict T. Palen, Jr. Have you taken a look lately in the area where you live to see how many self storage facilities exist, and especially noted how many have been built in recent years?

  2. Musings On The Rise Of Self Storage Facilities By Benedict T. Palen, Jr. There is an underlying message to this phenomenon, and that is simply that we have too much stuff.  We accumulate stuff for much of our lives, and often it sits in boxes, never being looked at.  And when we have packed our homes with stuff to the extent that there is no more room for it, we spend the money to store the stuff somewhere else.

  3. Musings On The Rise Of Self Storage Facilities By Benedict T. Palen, Jr. It’s time to look at ourselves, and ask why are we doing this?  What is the point?  What does it say about our society that we seem to crave stuff over the things that are really important?  Maybe we have our faces in our personal electronic devices too much even to ponder that question.

  4. Musings On The Rise Of Self Storage Facilities By Benedict T. Palen, Jr. If we are really honest with ourselves, we can get rid of way over half of the stuff that we have accumulated over the years, and donate it to someone who can really use it.   We all want to keep memories of events in our lives, but what does it add to the human experience to keep old clothes, pots and pans, furniture, and so forth?
