Employment Process • There are employment opportunities in many hospitals, clinics and other agencies. • In journals, newspaper, internet, Deewan, indicate the variety of jobs available.
Employment process mainly has two parts • First: letter for application (cover litter) • Second: interview
First: letter for application (cover litter) The purpose of the cover letter is to introduce your resume.
Guidelines of cover letter • Be brief, yet concise, courteous, and tactful. Don’t rehash the details, which is your resume. • Review the essential of good letter writing. • Use the good white unlined paper. • Don’t use letterhead stationary. • Use ink in writing or typing, never in pencil.
Guidelines of cover letter…cont • Use good language (Arabic, English …etc), and correct spelling. • Provide margins in both sides of the paper. • Close the letter with your signature, the letters R.N is used after the name is business letter in which are necessary for professional indications
Guidelines of cover letter…cont • Write all letter with the proper psychological approach, consider you are as a receiver. • Ask permission to use a person’s name for reference before you use it. After permission is received a thank you is must. • Send a photo if requested, pass post size, recent one. • Obtain transcript and credentials from your school nursing. • Enclose your email, mobile, post address.. this encourage the response more readily.
Cover letter has three paragraphs Paragraph One • Provide the reason you are submitting your resume • Name the position or type of work, which you are applying for • Indicate how you know about the post. • If appropriate, state your academic preparation and how it relates to the job description

Cover letter has three paragraphs Paragraph Three • Ask for an interview and you will be in touch. • Direct your letter to person who has the power to hire (make certain that you include the person’s name and title). • If you learn of a position through an advertisement, tailor your cover letter, so that is refers directly to the requirements stated in the advertisement.
