Changes to Import Clearances • Clearance of Imports now based on Identity of means of transport (Box 18.1) Not the value in Box44 - 1D24 • Corrections allowed before clearance received (allows correction of transport identity if required) • Declaration cancelled by Revenue system if not cleared within 24 hours

Manifest System Nov-2013 • System to receive detailed cargo manifests electronically. • The manifest required to be lodged at the time of arrival of ship/aircraft or before. • Quality of data in both SAD and Manifest of utmost importance. • SADs will be released only when a matching manifest has been lodged. • Manifest may not be required if goods already declared under the ICS process. • Thyme IT will provide entry screens and an API interface to allow entry of manifest details.
