3. ※ Credit requirements(2017) ●“Professional Practice”(5 credits) and “Frontier Technology Seminars” (1 credit) are not classified as academic training for international students (since 2016). ●Students majoring in Translation should follow the requirement of School of Foreign Language.

6. Step One Make a study plan of all courses you need to learn with the guidance of your supervisor. Step Two Register courses of Semester One.

9. ※ It is suggested that you ask your supervisor to appoint a student to help you to register courses. ※ If you need us to help registering courses, please download, fill “Application Form for Course Registration” and submit it to us.( Room 229,Administration Building ) ※ No matter who help you with course registration, you must check it. You are the only one to take the responsibility.

10. Attention! • You should be responsible for the result of course registration, for there is no excuse for changing any score in your transcript. • You should make sure that you have succeeded in registering all the courses of each semester, no course missing, no course wrong. • You should be alert to the arrangement of examination. • If you could not take the exam, you should apply for deferment ahead of time. • You must abide by the rules and no cheating in exams, otherwise it will be recorded in your transcript or even worse, you will be expelled out of school.

11. ※ How to change your password? It is better to change your password after you complete course registration.

12. ※ Course exemption 1. If a PhD student has obtained the credits of Basic ChineseⅠ/Ⅱ, China Overview and Chinese Culture as a master student in this university, he/she can apply for course exemption. He/she should download “Application for Course Exemption” and submit it to the course lecturer and Graduate School. If approved, he/she should register the course and will get “M” (which means course exemption) in his/her transcript. Note: The student is still required to select these courses.

13. 2. “Contemporary China” can be exempted for certain students. • Except students majoring in politics, philosophy and economics. • still required to select these courses. ★ this course is concentrated on the development of China since Qing Dynasty. It will help you to understand the present China.
