Global Warming • Most of us are aware of the issues of climate change and global warming. It is well known that our climate is getting hotter. We all remember the record breaking temperatures in 2003. Scientists tell us that our climate will continue to get hotter.
Causes and effects • People are burning too much fuel. You should walk more. Turn off lights and television if no one is watching it. Littering does not help either. The earth is getting hotter everyday and the polar bear is becoming extinct.
Electric cars The most important way to reduce motoring cost , reduce carbon use in transport. Electric cars aren’t harmful to the environment. They run on solar power. Vehicle batteries are charged from a power socket at home.
Sea level • Global average sea level have risen by 10 to 20 cms over the past 100 years. The next 100 years they could rise by 50 cms. In the pacific Ocean there many tiny islands that are at risk of being totally covered by the sea .
