From the islands to Savannah, Macon and Atlanta. From Dahlongega to Helen and to Rome, From dusty back roads and starry nights, Wide boulevards and city lights. Georgia, Georgia is where I live. Georgia is my home. From the farms and fields of the coastal plain With the warm sunshine and cooling rain To the piedmont with its long rolling hills To the mountain highlands and winter chills Hear the call of the whip-poor-wills. Georgia, Georgia is where I live. Georgia is my home. From the plains to the piedmont to the mountain peaks, Peach tree groves and city streets, Georgia, Georgia is where I live. Georgia is my home. Georgia is my home. Written by Philip Matteson Georgia Habitats
